Just One More…

…or perhaps two.

On a sewing kick

Filed under: In the Meantime... — Sommer at 9:46 pm on Sunday, November 12, 2006

I decided to start a new category of posts on here for just everyday nothingness… a little “filler”, if you will.

So last week, after the call that our IVF failed, we went and pampered ourselves (which I already posted about, so I won’t bore you again). We didn’t get anything Friday night, but we went back out on Saturday and I decided I was going to do something to make me feel better, and that something was sewing. (Read on …)

Pampered Chef Party

For the month of November, I am having a virtual Pampered Chef Party. There’s something for everyone, and the holidays are just around the corner. Plus, if you order $60 or more, you get a FREE stackable cooling rack!

The party is at http://www.pamperedchef.biz/amandabailey — please note you MUST enter my name (Sommer) as the party hostess for it to be credited to my fundraiser. (Read on …)

Follow-Up Consultation

Filed under: IVF #1 — Sommer at 9:22 pm on Monday, November 6, 2006

We had our post-failed-IVF consult today. Calista and Skip both stayed home today, since they have my cold, so all three of us went to the consult. Calista told me she was going to tell the doctor that the baby seeds didn’t work, and she did. It was cute, though a little depressing.

Dr. B went over the cycle and seemed to think everything went great as far as egg quality, fertilization, and embryo quality. (Read on …)

Fabulous Fleece

Filed under: Fundraiser #2 — Sommer at 10:53 am on Sunday, November 5, 2006

The owner of Fabulous Fleece has offered to let me do a fundraiser. For every blanket purchased at Fabulous Fleece, I will earn $5 towards our next IVF.From the Fabulous Fleece on-line store –

Fabulous Fleece was born from the demand of my hand-tied fleece blankets. I began making them as gifts after it became apparent how much my two children loved theirs. (Read on …)

Another Day

Filed under: IVF #1 — Sommer at 9:26 am on Saturday, November 4, 2006

Last night, we decided to go out and spoil Calista and ourselves. Calista got a Genevieve doll (from Barbie and the 12 Dancing Princesses) as well as her own copy of the movie (we’d been renting it). We walked around the mall, and later Wal-Mart for a good 5 hours, but Skip and I never did find anything for ourselves. We still had a nice time out, though. (Read on …)

The Verdict is in…

Filed under: IVF #1 — Sommer at 2:50 pm on Friday, November 3, 2006

Not pregnant.

We will have a follow up consult on Monday to discuss the cycle and decide what — if anything — we want to do next.

Thank you so very much for all of the love and support that everyone has shown during this time. It has helped me so much, and has meant the world to me. (Read on …)

And now… we wait.

Filed under: IVF #1 — Sommer at 11:49 am on Friday, November 3, 2006

I had my blood drawn for my Beta (pregnancy test) at 10 am. I should have the results within 2 hours from that time, though I realized that would be noon, and with my luck, the nurses will go to lunch and I won’t hear until 1 or 1:30 pm.

No matter, as we aren’t feeling very optimistic. I am a certified Pee-on-a-Stickaholic and have done several home tests up until two days ago. They were all negative. (Read on …)

12 dpo and Big Fat Nothing

Filed under: IVF #1 — Sommer at 8:48 am on Wednesday, November 1, 2006

No BFP.

I’ve got nothing left.  It’s over, I just know it.  Two days until it’s confirmed.  The only good thing about getting a negative Friday is that I can stop these damned shots.  Doing them now just sucks, because I know there’s no point, but I won’t stop them until my blood test. (Read on …)
