I have worked just about non-stop from 8 am to now (11:40 pm) today and I am about to keel over. I’ve got a lot of projects going on right now, many with dealines this week, and it’s killing me! Augh! But I won’t complain too much, as the extra work is good when it means more income.
In my previous post, I mentioned a new fundraising idea which turns out isn’t feasible (a raffle). Drat. However, I can do a Skill Contest, and so that’s what I’m going to do. Basically, a Skill Contest is one in which an entry fee is charged and the winner is NOT determined by chance. I am waiting on the prizes to arrive before I announce what the actual contest is, but here’s a little teaser for you…

Hopefully, I can give some attention to setting up the contest this weekend and have it underway soon! I had been feeling pretty down about fundraising, but I am really excited about this idea.
Also, I sold our old bird cage today for $30 and every little bit counts.
I am really hoping we get a nice tax return this year. Last year I screwed things up (oops) and we owed $3,000. Ouch.
