Giving Thanks

Well after my slew of positives yesterday, my joy was crushed when the nurse at the RE’s told me it’s “too soon” for the tests to be accurate and I have to wait until April 16th for my test.  I knew she was just saying that because she HAS to, and she probably gets people asking for earlier betas all the time, but it still gave me just a bit of doubt.

But this, my friends, tells me it’s not too soon and it’s all baby (or babies) in there!!!

I am no longer doubting — I AM pregnant.  And as you will see by the little floating babies at the top right of my blog, I am pregnant with both babies until proven otherwise!

I can’t say thank you enough to everyone who has supported us through this sometimes agonizing but now incredible journey…

  • THANK YOU to those who gave a donation to help us finance this miracle.
  • THANK YOU to the strangers and friends who purchased CDs and other things we sold via this site, eBay and Craigslist.
  • THANK YOU to Jenn for helping me host a Mary Kay party and Amanda for helping me host a Pampered Chef party.
  • THANK YOU to everyone who bought something at those parties.
  • THANK YOU to Jess and Leah for helping us with the cost of medication.
  • THANK YOU to every person who has posted a supportive comment to this blog.
  • THANK YOU to everyone who entered our fundraising photo contest.
  • THANK YOU for all of the prayers and well wishes.
  • THANK YOU to the Tkacsik family who watched Calista for us during our first egg retrieval and sent us home with meals afterwards.
  • THANK YOU to my friends at Connected Moms and Ovusoft — especially my Buddy Groups — who have given their unending support through this journey.
  • A HUGE THANK YOU to Skip and Roberta, Skip’s mom and dad, who gave us $2,000 towards our IVF costs.
  • A HUGE THANK YOU to Karen, my mom, who flew across the country last week to be with me as we went through the transfer, and who cared for Calista while I was on bed rest.
  • THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us in any way, shape or form during this time.

I truly cannot say enough thank yous to cover every person who has reached out to us in some way during this time.  We are and will be forever grateful for all of the love and support we’ve been given, and we will never forget how lucky we are to have been so blessed.

The pain of this struggle is still very fresh in my mind, and to any of you reading who are suffering in the same ways, you are in my thoughts.  Every day that I give thanks for the miracle that we have been given, I will wish for the same for you.  Everyone deserves a happy ending.

I hope you will continue to follow my blog through our journey, as there is so much more to come!
