Well I’ve got nothing to do until the blood test (except pee on sticks, of course). I’m just trying to patiently wait it out, but I’m not a really patient person, especially not when it comes to this. But wait I shall!
Besides, my Accu Clear today is so much darker than the one from Monday… it looks like these babies are here to stay!
Let me add that the cure for pee-stickaholism is a BFP (that’s “Big Fat Positive”). Seriously. In all the pee-sticking I’ve done, every BFN (that would be “Big Fat Negative”) I got just made me wonder if it was wrong and go do another, and another and another. I did more pee sticks per cycle on a negative cycle than I will on this one, hands down.
Once I got the first clear positive, that was it. I have no more need to pee on another. I’ve just been doing one a day since Monday to make sure I’m still pregnant and to use up the tests I have left. Once I have the Beta confirmation, I very well may never pee on another stick again! It almost sounds unbelievable, doesn’t it? ;)
I’ve also been a bit queasy since yesterday. I keep telling myself it’s my mind playing tricks on me. Seems a bit early for this, but there’s no mistaking that if I don’t eat pretty much constantly, I feel just “off” enough to be uncomfortable. I wonder if it’s because I’m taking Progesterone, and then add to it whatever the babies are producing et voila! — nausea. At this rate, I should have gained 20 pounds by my first appointment!
Well, I guess I will just keep posting my pee sticks and rambles until the Beta. Once I get the official confirmation, I think it will be time to start a new category of posts… “Baby on the Way”. :)
Sommer~Still so darned excited for you!!! And I don’t think that queasiness is in your head. I had the same thing with Sophie from 10 dpo (through 20 weeks, but that’s another story altogether-blech!) I’m so happy for you!!!!
Dawn
If you keep peeing on them and posting them, we’ll keep looking! It’s so damn fun to look at positives – especially ones that keep getting darker like yours!
Sorry you’re not feeling great, but hey, I’m sure it’s a feeling you’re almost happy to have. Let the pregnancy symptoms begin…..happily! :)
I just wanted to add my congrats! Looks like you have a sticky baby or two ;-) I am so happy for you. I have been following your progress and hoping so hard that you would get your baby.
My RE’s office did the same thing. I was getting BFP’s about 5dp5dt and I was driving myself crazy. The RE’s nurse said the results were invalid and I had to wait til 11dp5dt. TORTURE! Eventually I found out that they make everyone wait because by then your beta should be over 100. If it is the pregnancy is likely to stick. If not they know that it may not. My beta that day was 416. I was on cloud nine. My IVF miracle is now 5 1/2.
CONGRATS! I hope your family is a family of 5 by Christmas :-)
Or BabIES on the way! How exciting!!
The wait for your beta must be driving you nuts – if it is painful for me! Better yet, I want an ultrasound to see how many. I may not be able to take the suspense!
Sommer – WONDERFUL news! Everything looks pretty crystal clear and positive to me. I’m thrilled for the three of you. I’ll be watching your progress as time goes on. Can’t wait for the first ultrasound.
That’s a nice positive. ;)
Nausea is probably not in your head. I started getting nauseous with Dakota before I even got my BFP at 3w5d! Of course with her it lasted until 14 weeks so I’m hoping you don’t follow my pattern! ;)
Keep posting those pee stick pictures, love to look at them!
Hi Sommer,
I heard thru the grapevine you got your BFP!!! I am super excited for you and your babies to be. Looking forward to hearing the results of your beta! Look out girlie, I have an itchy feeling you’re going to be gaining alot more than 20lb this year!!
Sommer,
I am so happy for you! This is so awesome!!! Congratulations and I can’t wait for that first ultrasound!!!
Great looking BFP today Sommer! Its real girl!
Oh and not too early for nausea! It was actually my first symptom- even before my BFP! And I don’t need to remind you that I had TWINS! I say those two are hanging in tight for the long haul!
And pee on a stick as much as you want. You have no idea how much you’ll miss it when you don’t ever do it again! Oh how I wish to see another BFP appear. I say do them all pregancy long LOL!
Congratulations again Sommer! I am just soooo happy for you!
I’ve been meaning to chime in somewhere that I am so excited and happy for you and Skip! I knew how down you were after your first round of IVF and I had everything crossed for this one. I’m happy to see those + pee sticks each time I manage to get on the net. :) Keep ’em coming. dani
Yay- keep on peeing- we love looking!!! Will you get a sono with the bloodwork or do we have to wait even longer for that? Hey- we can mount a phone campaign and harass them to give you an early beta and sono!!!!!
Sommer,
Congrats on your growing baby (or babies.) Have a H&H 9-10 months… or… 36 weeks? I don’t know how the timing works with IVF, lol.
Sincerely,
Amanda aka Dragoness
This is just so cool!!!
Add me and my dh to the list of people praying for your family and sending out sticky, sticky vibes. What a wonderful story you can tell these babies – how absolutely fought for and wanted they were!!! What a lucky way to begin their lives.
Yep, keep posting those pee sticks, I love to look at them, since I don’t have any of my own to obsess over anymore!!! :) Congrats again!
Sommer,
I am THRILLED for you!!!!!
Gives all of us struggling with secondary infertility hope and strength to continue on with treatments, even when we feel like it’s never going to happen….
P&PT for a very happy pregnancy!
