Just One More…

…or perhaps two.

Quickie

Filed under: Babies on the Way — Sommer at 8:24 am on Wednesday, May 2, 2007

Just a quick update.  I’ve been feeling awful with morning (aka all day) sickness for about a week and haven’t spent as much time at the computer.  Even when I’m not sick, I’m finding it hard to eat anything — I think it’s the fear of eating when I can and then getting sick on it later.  I am grateful to be sick, but it’s still hard!

As for the OB situation, I did talk to Dr. M yesterday and get this — he wasn’t even in the office on Tuesday (when I was spotting) nor did he get any messages that I was calling.  So the nurse who kept telling me “the doctor said” was totally full of CRAP as she never talked to him!  I was pissed.

I am going to see Dr. M in a couple of weeks, but I also have another appointment scheduled in June with a different doctor, just in case.

My current issue is freaking out about vanishing twin syndrome — I’m so scared we’re going to go in tomorrow for our u/s and there will only be one baby.

Hi Sommer… I haven’t ever commented here, but have been watching your journey. I remember the feelings of worrying only one would be there on the next ultrasound and not being able to wait until I got to see two healthy babies again.. hang in there. And good for you for advocating for yourself w/ the whole doctor thing. Good luck!

Hi Sommer,

Just wanted to tell you I’m following your journey here and at C-Moms and that I am thinking of you as you wait for that U/S. I am looking forward to seeing your 2 healthy poles and sacs (heartbeats yet?, I can’t remember how soon those appear) in the picture. Sorry the morning sickness is so bad, but remember, twice the morning sickness means twice the babies! Best of luck.

Hi Sommer,
I have read your story the entire time (I’m not even sure how I came across it) and was ecstatic to learn that you were in fact pregnant. Your journey and story has been an amazing inspiration to me. (I’ve been dealing with fertility issues for close to 4 years and are now fundraising, and saving money any way we can so we can give IVF a try.)

I’m so excited there are 2 babies. I know your anxious (and I would be the exact same way), just try and be as positive as you are able to.

Best wishes,
Salina
PS - I’m in Vancouver, BC, will be working with Genesis Fertility, not sure if you’ve heard of them…

Oh I’m so happy to hear you are feeling sick. (hehe) Never thought I would say that to anyone. :) It’s a good thing. It will pass. Each day that goes by is one more day moving forward.

That’s unreal about Dr. M. I’m glad you contacted him.
