I got myself in some trouble on a message board tonight… a woman posted a question on an infertility board asking if it bothered others when they see children at the RE’s office. I’ve seen this topic so many times, and it seems that a lot (not all) of IFers (read: infertiles) with no children think that they should be protected from seeing children when they go to the REs office. I’m just taking a break from work while I do my IV and thought I would post here. Nothing exciting but it beats working!
I’m in the midst of a Braxton Hicks contraction and I can’t tell you how much I hate them. I know that they are “harmless” but it freaks me out because I am already scared of pre-term labor, the last thing I need is contractions at 14 weeks! Sheesh! Read the rest of this entry »

Another day, another OB appointment. The good news is, after my appointment Thursday, I’ve graduated to appointments every two weeks! Yay!
I’ve finally gained some weight — 5 pounds — and have stopped spotting for now. Still a complete placenta previa, though, so I won’t hold my breath to remain spot-free. Feeling a bit better on the IVs, though certainly not anywhere near anything I’d call feeling “good”. Read the rest of this entry »

We had another OB appointment yesterday. Babies look well and we’ve added Zofran to my daily IV. 8 mg of it, which is double what I’m able to take per day in pills thanks to crappy insurance. Now I get 8 mg via IV and can take another 4 mg via pill. I did my IV already today (as soon as the Zofran arrived) and felt well enough to eat some chips and Jell-O afterwards. Yippee! … trying to get to the bathroom in time to barf while dragging an IV pole behind you. OK, technically it’s “a debilitating and potentially life-threatening pregnancy disease marked by rapid weight loss, malnutrition, and dehydration due to unrelenting nausea and/or vomiting with potential adverse consequences for the newborn(s)” but it’s all the same to me.
