3 years today, 6 years tomorrow

Today would have been the three year anniversary of when we started trying to get pregnant again. A few months ago, I had decided that if we made it to this day and I was not pregnant, we would probably be done trying. I am so glad that it didn’t make it that far.

Tomorrow is our 6 year wedding anniversary. I got my gift early, as Skip had been planning it a while and was very excited about it. It’s amazing — it’s an oil painting of Calista done from a favorite photo of ours taken when she was two. Here is the photo:

How sweet is that?! Originally, the artist wanted to leave out “Cows” (Calista’s blankie) but Skip said she just couldn’, so he took pictures of Cows and sent them to the artist. I love the detail of Calista’s blankie… Cows is such a big part of Calista’s life right now, and even more so at that time that it just really makes the painting that much better.

Now I’m trying to decide if I want to hang it in our bedroom or living room. I am thinking living room so everyone can see it. :)

I just saw that pic of your DD and I though how much that looks like MY DD. The both of them are very cute!! lol
