They’re Gaining!
My biggest fear since bringing the boys home is them not gaining weight — especially Nate, since the doctor was hesitant to release him. We had a home visit today to check up on the boys, however, and Ace is now 5 pounds 3 ounces and Nate is 6 pounds 3 ounces! They are doing great and I’m so relieved — especially with Nate.
They are currently breastfeeding half of the time and bottle feeding the other half. Mainly because they aren’t great breast feeders yet, and we want to be sure they get enough in them. So at each feeding, I breast feed one and the other gets a bottle of breast milk with a dash of formula to give it a calorie boost. Hopefully the bottles will become less and less over the next few weeks and then we can just breast feed.
Well, I’m home alone with the boys right now, as Skip took Calista to the beach and then grocery shopping. I need to get ready for the next feeding… but not before sharing some pictures!

Wow! They are adorable! I havent had a chance to post to you yet but I have been reading! Wanted to send you a big congrats! I hope you get an occasional hour or two in a row of sleep! I know how hard it is to breastfeed, especially twins! I havent had a days break in 4 yrs and its hard! So I congratulate you! Cant wait to see more pictures and hear about them, they are so beautiful!
