Back to the Grind
Skip is back to work, Calista is back to school, and I am back to being alone with the boys. After a hard week, they are actually being pretty good today. I think they get a bit overwhelmed with the noise and activity when everyone is home, because for all of the screaming they did when everyone was home, they are pretty quiet and pleasant today!
Ace is still having reflux issues, but the meds seem to be helping. I’ve also cut out dairy to see if that will help, and we’ve got two Amby beds on the way. Those beds can’t get here fast enough! Ace will sleep, but he needs to be held to do so, and I just can’t hold him all day or poor Nate gets left out. If the Amby beds work, we will likely sell the Pack N Play or Co-Sleeper to offset the cost. If the beds don’t work, we will resell them — a friend told me you can resell them for what you paid (we got ours on eBay), so we won’t take a loss.
I’ve also got a Moby Wrap for Christmas which I love, love, love! It helps when they are both fussing, bcause I can wear them both at once. I was intimidated by it — it’s a HUGE piece of fabric and seems so complicated, but it really isn’t. And look how the boys love it!

Both boys are cooing now, and it is so cute. They are in the stage where they open their mouths really big and work really hard just to let out a tiny, soft “ahh” or “ooh”. It is the sweetest thing. But I’m really looking forward to the smiles!!
Calista will be starting dance and gymnastics again this month, so getting everyone ready and out of the house should be interesting. I hope we can handle it!
Other than that, not much going on. I need to take a few moments to work on dinner and a few things for myself before the boys want to eat again!

The boys are so cute! Congrats if I havent said it yet. I’m so happy for you!
That wrap looks awesome. Those boys are absolutely adorable. Keep up the great work!
What a precious picture! I really enjoy reading your updates. Those boys are so precious – and Calista sounds like an awesome big sister. Oh, and I have a Moby Wrap, too – love it, too, as does my little one (also born last October). Great thing, isn’t it? Anyway, thanks for sharing the pic – it’s just the sweetest pic! :-)
I have not rejoined CMoms yet (time really, and $$$ since DH lost another job) – but, I am so glad to see you have two little bundles of joy (even if it is a little noisy!).
Congratulations! I know it was a rough PG…but a happy ending. :)
Hi Sommer…I love the picture of you with your boys…how precious. Sounds like everything getting back to the old grin….good to hear. It will get easier as time goes on with the twins….great to hear Calista is getting involved in gymnastics..
Goodness, what a sweet picture of all three of you!
I love that pic. We are still using the Moby over here, same Navy color. We love it too!
I love that pic. I’m so happy for you guys.
the boys are cute and you look great.
It does take time to get a schedule going but I found it was necessary and still help even thou mine are 5 now.I found premies can take a while to adjust to too much stimulation around them. When mine were in the hospital they could only handle one stimulation at a time I had to choose. It can take up to two years for premies to be up to other kids their age.
