Just One More…

The ramblings of a mom of three.

I Love My Family

February12

I was sitting there looking at the boys the other day as they were just smiling and cooing, and I thought of a song entitled, “I Could Not Ask for More.” It has been recorded by both Edwin McCain and Sara Evans, and the lyrics are as follows:

I Could Not Ask for More

Lying here with you
Listening to the rain
Smiling just to see the smile upon your face

These are the moments
I thank God that I’m alive
These are the moments
I’ll remember all my life
I found all I’ve waited for
And I could not ask for more

Looking in your eyes
Seeing all I need
Everything you are is everything to me

These are the moments
I know heaven must exist
These are the moments
I know all I need is this
I have all I’ve waited for
And I could not ask for more

Chorus

I could not ask for more than this time together
I could not ask for more than this time with you
Every prayer has been answered
Every dream I have’s come true
And right here in this moment is right where I’m meant to be
Here with you here with me

These are the moments
I thank God that I’m alive
These are the moments
I’ll remember all my life
I’ve got all I’ve waited for
And I could not ask for more

Chorus

I could not ask for more than the love you give me
‘Coz it’s all I’ve waited for
And I could not ask for more
I could not ask for more

That is how I feel about my husband, my daughter and my sons. I am hopelessly and totally in love with each of them, and I could not ask for more.  Thank you to everyone out there who has supported us along the way.  We have received — and continue to receive — such an outpouring of love and support from so many people that it’s been both amazing and humbling.  Because of you, we have two new lives to celebrate.

That’s really awesome Sommer! I am so happy for you, your husband and your dear daughter and sons. You have been through a lot to get where you are now and you so deserve to be this happy. That is a great song and does seem to capture your life now. Congrats again! Love, Kathy

What an uplifting post!!! You are amazing and an inspiration (we have a DD who is 4 and have been trying for a sibling since June 05 and have suffered a stillbirth, 5 miscarriages, an incomplete IVF and are now gearing up for another IVF…). Things like this help me keep up the faith that there will be another child in our future!

Isn’t that kind of love fantastic??

Thanks for such an uplifting post!
It makes the bad days worth suffering through with that kind of love, doesn’t it? I know it gets me through with my two boys!

I just needed to say that when Kaylah was born I was watching American Idol in the hospital and Clay Aiken sung that song and I felt exactly how you feel. I went home and within a week found the lyrics and dedicated it in the first page of her baby book. Its perfect!
