Tonight, after the boys went to bed, Calista, Skip and I piled into our bed with some pillows, pop and popcorn and watch Wall-E. Calista and I had already seen it in the theatre, but Skip hadn’t seen it yet. It is such a cute movie! I love it.
Now Calista is in bed and we are working on cleaning the living room carpet in preparation for putting up our Christmas tree tomorrow! I hope it doens’t rain, as I’d like to get the outside lights put up, too.
Oh, so get this… earlier today, I had a message from the guy at the insurance company of the lady who crashed into our van. He told me that he hadn’t yet looked at the police report, but hoped to get to it today and he would be in touch with me when he had a chance. Read the rest of this entry »

When our van was totaled back in October, we had two Sunshine Kids Radian 65 car seats, as well as Calista’s Graco Turbo Booster. When a vehicle is in an accident, the car seats need to be replaced, even if there is no visible damage to them, because there is a risk that the components could have been weakened or compromised in the collision.
Our insurance told us that they would only give $50 per seat, but the Radians are $200 car seats! Then the insurance agent told me if I could produce the original receipts for the seats, that they would give me the amount I had paid for them.
Normally, I would have these filed nicely in my “receipts” drawer. For some reason, though, I couldn’t find them. I started searching online and did locate one of them, but couldn’t remember where I bought the second one. Read the rest of this entry »

Gwen asked me how to get FaceBook to update to Twitter and how to get Twitter on your blog, so here goes…
Part I – FaceBook to Twitter Updates
There is a handy service at TwitterFeed.com where you can register and feed RSS to your Twitter. But, before you can do that, you need to get an OpenID login. If you don’t already have one, I created mine at ClaimID.com.
Once you have an OpenID login, go to TwitterFeed.com and click Login. Next to the box where you type your login is a drop-down menu. Click that to select the OpenID service you wish to log in with and enter your login.

If you use Internet Exploder — uh, Explorer — please accept my humble apologies. I didn’t realize my new site was seriously screwed up in IE and I spent way too many hours fixing it today. So now, it should be all purdy again, but please, do yourself a favor and switch to FireFox (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/) and save yourself a lot of trouble. ;)
Well, now that the boys are sleeping through the night (you heard me, SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT, as in ALL NIGHT LONG! Boot camp worked — yeeeeeee haw!) I swore I’d start going to bed earlier. That means I am going to cut this short and go to bed (is 11:30 pm still considered “early”?). Good night!
