Well, here I am at 36 weeks. Four weeks until my due date of March 20, and I am so miserable I can’t help but hope Shiloh comes a little early like her big sister did (37w3d)! I had an OB appointment today, and he gave me his blessing to “go any time now”, but I don’t think Shiloh is listening. I will be reminding her daily, though.
I’ve gained about 31 pounds. My waist was 42″ around last time I measured. My back feels like it is breaking, and I have exploded in stretch marks that are both painful and itchy. I am still nauseous daily. To say I am ready to hold her would be an understatement.
My doctor wanted to write me a note for me to stop working now. I told him I’d love to, but as the boss, I’d have to decline my request as I am not quite ready to be done. Besides, with an unpaid maternity leave, I’d rather stick it out until the bitter end and take all my time with Shiloh – not sitting around like a beached whale awaiting her arrival. Besides, with my luck, she’d be 2 weeks late and I’d waste half my unpaid leave sitting around.
Anyhow, enough with the whining. It’s belly picture day. I took this one myself, hence it being completely out of focus. And I’m wearing the the shirt I had on 4 weeks ago. I like it and it’s the only one that still covers my whole belly. I kind of look like hell, but whatever. This best be my last official belly picture – I will cry if I am taking one at 40 weeks!
Here’s another fun one – my belly as it’s progressed this time (click for full size):
I will add today’s picture to my “Comparing Bellies” page now, too… :)
Oh, and here’s my “baby pool” if you haven’t made a guess yet!
