So um… I’m going to try to take time to write an update again soon, honest. I’m just so busy with the kids that free time is hard to come by these days. :) However, both boys are doing great, we are exclusively breastfeeding now and Ace weighs 6 lbs 8 oz and Nate weighs 7 lbs 7 oz! I’ll try to post some real updates and more pictures over the weekend…
Instead of sitting around and feeling sorry for myself and missing the boys, I thought I’d take some pictures of their nursery to share. It’s a very tiny room, so we had to make the most of it. We got mini cribs so they’d fit in the room and overall, I think it turned out great. (Read on …)
Crafty… I spent the weekend making some covers for nursing pillows. I was at the consignment store and saw what appeared to be a twin nursing pillow. It was $12.99 and 40% off. I did not care for the cover on it (kind of a country print, with dolls and things like “Sugar and Spice” written on it, with an eyelet lace trim) but I figured for ~$8 I could just get a new cover, so I got it. I got myself in some trouble on a message board tonight… a woman posted a question on an infertility board asking if it bothered others when they see children at the RE’s office. I’ve seen this topic so many times, and it seems that a lot (not all) of IFers (read: infertiles) with no children think that they should be protected from seeing children when they go to the REs office. Today would have been the three year anniversary of when we started trying to get pregnant again. A few months ago, I had decided that if we made it to this day and I was not pregnant, we would probably be done trying. I am so glad that it didn’t make it that far. (Read on …)
