Days 12 & 13: The Boys are Back in Town!

November1

Yesterday was a busy day so I didn’t really have a chance to update. The boys were transported back to Bellingham yesterday — on my 30th birthday! Skip was just recently harassing me for not being able to keep a secret, so I decided to let him think the boys would be back by Friday and not tell him they were coming early. Day 11: Getting Ready to Move Closer to Home!

October30

Today we got the approval from insurance to move the boys back to Bellingham!  We still have paperwork to do, set up the transport, and make sure there are nurses available to make the trip, but the boys should be in Bellingham by Friday.  I’m so excited to get them close to home again. Day 8: The Big Sister Visits her Baby Brothers

October27

I finish pumping and have about an hour and a little bit before I have to set up to start over. But this is what the lactation consultant has advised in order to get a good supply going to nurse twins, so it’s what I’ve got to do. Read the rest of this entry »

Day 7: One Week Old

October26

Ace and Nate are one week old today. If I were still pregnant, I’d have been 32 weeks today. It’s “Belly Picture Day”, too. Part of me wanted to take a picture, but I didn’t. Maybe I still will do it, just for fun of sorts, but there’s still some sadness that I’ve refused to recognize and that I fear a picture may force me to face. Read the rest of this entry »
