So I guess I’m working on a once-a-week update schedule these days…
Let’s see. I had an appointment on Thursday (May 24th) but it was totally boring. I just sat there and answered the nurse’s list of questions about my health and history. Had a blood draw, pee test, and that was it. I did, however, go to wash my hands before the pee test and notice that my wedding band — which I wear on my right hand — was gone. I am so glad to see that my “babies” over on the right side of this blog are actually starting to look like babies and less like aliens. It was kind of freaking me out.
I spent most of the day in bed today. The “morning” sickness is getting me good. It’s all day, and it’s really this taste in my mouth that’s killing me! I get this foul taste in my mouth that no amount of tooth-brushing, candy-sucking, gum chewing or other remedies can get rid of. And once I get “the taste” I get sick. Pregnant Glow. That is NOT what I have going on right now. Hopefully, I will encounter it soon, for everyone’s sake, but right now, it’s more like the Mask of Death.
I was terribly sick when pregnant with Calista and hoped I’d get passed over by the sickness fairy this time, but she has visited me twofold. I am entirely grateful to be so ill, but I may need to post a reminder of that on the underside of my toilet lid soon. In all seriousness, I’ll take it! I’m FINALLY getting close to the Beta day. I can’t believe I’ve waited this long. If it weren’t for the increasing darkness of the pee sticks, I am sure I’d have gone mad by now, but the pee sticks have kept me sane through this wait. I knew I liked them for a reason. Read the rest of this entry »
