Give me the strength to go four more weeks (+2 days). That’s all I ask.
I am having a really hard time these days. I had an OB appointment yesterday and measured 41 weeks. That’s essentially measuring that of a singleton pregnancy one week overdue. I was 29 weeks and 4 days at the time of that measurement. (Read on …)
No, they haven’t been born, but we did have a 3D ultrasound today, which was my early 30th birthday present. We got some really great views of Baby A. Unfortunately, Baby B was in an odd position, and the technician didn’t seem interested in trying to get him on screen. I offered many times to lay on my side, drink water, or something, and she’d just check B for a few seconds, and go right back to A. So I have a ton of pictures of A and just ONE picture of B. I won’t even begin to scare you with stories of my recent bowel issues that they wanted me to go to Labor and Delivery in Seattle for (tonight, at 8:30 pm — HA!). Today was the “big” ultrasound where they look at every last bit of each baby and check for abnormalities. It was one hour per baby — a LONG ultrasound for sure, but very cool too get to watch them for so long. Especially when they were beating on each other! Unfortunately, there was a problem with baby girl that we noticed almost immediately. (Read on …)
Another day, another OB appointment. The good news is, after my appointment Thursday, I’ve graduated to appointments every two weeks! Yay!
I’ve finally gained some weight — 5 pounds — and have stopped spotting for now. Still a complete placenta previa, though, so I won’t hold my breath to remain spot-free. Feeling a bit better on the IVs, though certainly not anywhere near anything I’d call feeling “good”. (Read on …)
After Saturday’s incident, I spent the rest of the night as well as all day Sunday and part of Monday in bed. Skip took off work Monday to stay home with me and I am glad he did because I was so miserably sick (still am, actually). At 8 am, I called this other OB office where I have an appointment Friday and told the receptionist what had been going on. She had the nurse call me back. (Read on …)
