Well there you have it. One shot in the hip complete! Skip practiced on an orange first and said there was no way that’s how easy it would be to stab me with a needle. But when the time came, he did it just like he did with the orange, and unbelievably — I didn’t feel it go in at all. All I felt was a little pressure when he pressed the plunger, and that was it. I can’t believe how much I stressed out over it and that’s all it was. :)
I also had my first acupuncture appointment today and it was great. I had tried acupuncture once before, for morning sickness when I was pregnant with Calista, and I didn’t like it. The practitioner was a bit “off” (she liked to hug me and it weirded me out) and I couldn’t get into it. But I really clicked with the new practitioiner and it went well. I go again next week.
Our first ultrasound is scheduled for Friday (October 13th). Hopefully, everything will be right on track!
